Online training: GEODETIC SUPPORT OF UNDERGROUND STRUCTURES CONSTRUCTION

From 09/28/20 thru 10/26/20, the PHEDCS team has held an online training GEODETIC SUPPORT OF UNDERGROUND STRUCTURES CONSTRUCTION. The training´s primary audience was faculty staff and Ph.D. students of the Satbayev
University, Almaty, Kazakhstan. The main goal of the training was the study of state-of-the-art geodetic methods and technologies for the geodetic support of underground structures construction and exploitation. The course has comprised the approaches to geodetic network creation and their simulation using various software, the strict calculation of the breakthrough value, the study of the different methods to the transition of coordinates and directions underground, the technology of the tunnel boring machine orientation, and geospatial monitoring. Essential attention has been given to geospatial monitoring data processing using MATLAB. The course participants were supported by all the necessary stuff: temporary software access, original program codes, real data for processing and simulation, hands-on tasks, presentations, and video lectures. Upon completion, the PHEDCS has issued the certificates for successful online training.
